Yes, it has been a while, however, I have not been able to get pics of every show. But, here is one performance that was awsome to paint to, the very creative musicians of Pumps : Fire, where I did get photos. I ended up painting all night during all of the bands. The door I painted was inspired by everyone's music that night and mostly Pumps : Fire who had initally invited me to paint - very cool show.
Howdy, folks. Here Is another performance I was so honored to particeipate in, painting to some really rad music by the Illuminasty Duo and friends at the Sebastopol Brewery Company on March 28. This was on a small stage, unfortunately, but I was happy to paint even in the corner where I could be inspired by the hot tunes these top notch musicians were belting out. Sorry, I'm on the road and don't have pics of the paintings yet, so the paintings on the wall behind the band will have to do for now. But, hey, it's not always about the PR, besides, if you check out my journal on Modern Guitars you can see what I look like while painting...
Whamola! Hope you're ready for this one. What a way to start the new year and a dream come true! Three years ago who would have thought I'd find myself on the Les Claypool Hatter's Ball stage doing what I love for your enjoyment...
Hello once again and thanks for checking out my journal. This performance was with the Madera Humana (bluegrass fusion) band a local group in the Northern Californai area I have been hanging out in. Check their Myyspace page to hear them and see where they're at next - and you just might catch me painting at one of their performances. I had a really rad time as you can see in the photos...
Hey, it was another good time with Brig Feltus and friends. Don't have everyone's name but you can check out her MySpace page. Awsome singing and hospitality. If you ever get a chance to check out any of her music events it's a really good vibe and home grown music and energy. I painted this rad butterfly to one of her songs and incorporated her CD in this pic and you can see her reflection...
Hey everyone, thanks for checking out my performasnce journal. This was my 3rd performance with Shannon Curfman. I met up with the band after a performance at the Last Day Saloon in Santa Rosa, then took a Vietnamese tour bus to hollywood. This time she had her full band and space was limited on stage. Thanks to her guitar player for working with me on that. She is on a tour right now. Wish I could get to Texas to do those shows with the band.
Ok, it's been awhile. another kick ass show with OHM but this time at the Coach House and with their new drummer, Joel Taylor, Robert Pagliari on bass, and Chris Poland guitar. To hear their music check out www.chrispoland.com. The crowd went crazy and Chris is always great on the guitar allthough if you ask him he will tell ya he sucked like hell. He allways says that. Anyway, the music is unbelievable to paint to. I feel so privileged to be onstage with them...
Hey, hope you're ready for this one at the world famous Galaxy. Got there early, introduced myself to the tour manager, and hung out with Shiny Toy Guns. Usually I'm painting in a cramped corner smack up against a monitor but not tonight - yeah, that means i could get as crazy as the music moved me, wow and the music realy put me on another planet. What a rad vibe the band put out...
Hey ya, Viva Las Vegas! I had looked forward to doing this show for two weeks cuz i went to Shannon's My Space and really enjoyed her music. My car broke down and I didn't know how I was going to get to Vegas, so I woke up. called in sick and called my friend and hitched a ride to Vegas. Amazing...
Oh yeah, another fun filled moment at the Café Boogaloo, this time with Eric Lindell. I painted all 3 Mardi Gras days with Eric Lindell. The party got out of hand at one point so much so I was totally in the moment and wasn't able to get pics of me painting live to the music on this chick that came over and took her top off and bent over and had me paint on her back and a heart right down her ass crack. Then I asked her to turn around and I could see she had a black bra on, so i started painting her then she liked it and didn't want me to stop. Next thing I knew she was topless...
Hey everyone, thanks for checking in. I can't wait to tell you about this show - a top notch performance by New Soul Underground with guest appearances by guitarists Larry Carlton and Kirk Fletcher (Fabulous Thunderbirds).
Aloha...Happy New Year!!! Yes, this was one of the last shows for me for 2005 and this performance by OHM realy kicked ass!! And what a great venue to end the year at the Galaxy Theater.
Hey how's it hangin'? Yes there have been many show I have been painting at before and after this one I'm about to tell ya about. Anyway, Skinnie Magazine put this event on. The line up included Kotton Mouth Kings, Pepper, and Bad Religion. Hot chicks, cool people and a rad time, I would Like to thank Skinnie Magazine
Hey, thanks for checkin' in! This was a hot performance with females from around the world. Thank you Gilli and Tony for inviting me to paint!
Ok, are you ready because I don't know how I keep up but i did. I found out about these guys on my space and they were down with the idea, so as usual, the next step was to contact the owner of the venue and he was way cool about it and off I go to buy supplies for the show!
